This 2 week monoprint course will be an opportunity to explore this wonderful range of techniques in more depth.
We will print 3 ways from one inking to really maximize the use and interplay of possibilities when creating an image. Playing with positive and negative space, you will create work of discovery and pleasure.
Colour and layering will be used to really drive this work and especially when combined with transparent base – we will learn about colour layering with CMYK process sinks to create work full of serendipity, chance but also control.
Split over two weeks, we will concentrate on creating layered works that show a vibrant mixture of experimental mark making, masking out and alternative drawing to create work that pushes your work and allows for a new look at this favourite process.
This is a ‘deeper dive’ into Monoprinting and is suitable for those wishing to explore this set of techniques in more depth or suitable for beginners who wish to jump straight in! A lovely course for anyone who is curious, playful and wants to explore layered prints full of discovery.
