Do you want to either begin selling your art or get better at it? Do you find online a bit of…well, a web? Why do hashtags matter? What actually is an algorithm and why should I care?
All good questions and the answers are usually complicated with jargon and marketing speak…but Rosie will teach you how to make social media and brand marketing your friend. And instead of stealing your soul it’ll make you want to actually create MORE and try new things rather than want to throw your phone at the wall.
Using free software to edit videos and looking at the best way to use the most useful social media sites, your three week journey will be packed full of tips, hints and insight so you can develop your own voice and identity.
You will be guided to answer all those questions you have so you can find a path suited to you as an individual and stop worrying about having to ‘do it all’. Deciding on a path means you will have less mental chatter about all the ways people advertise their work and sell creatively and means you can start being your best online self straight away. It could get you extra income, commissions, opportunities or just be a place to digitally archive your journey.
Whatever your craft or art discipline, every single element of ‘posting online’ can be reframed as; artistic process, resistance, learning, political voice or just aesthetic beauty…so why not give it a go?

About the Tutor
Rosie studied art and filmmaking at Manchester School of Art but has always considered herself a multi-disciplinary artist. She started her own business Rosie and Ramona in 2019 when she had her first daughter and wanted to combine her two dreams, be a stay at home mum and sell her art! (She's since had another daughter, both of which make significantly better art than her.)
Starting out as a wedding sign writer and then negotiating a plague she has since diversified taking her vibrant illustrations down every single available avenue. Rosie doesn’t stick to one discipline or art form, she's obsessed with folklore of past, pop culture of present and what art might look like in the future.
She loves the tactile nature of printmaking.
She loves the visual freedom of digital art and social media.
She loves sitting in a bright room painting.
She loves advocating for all humans being wonderful artists, it's there in all of us.
