Observers to the Board
We have three observers to the board.
Matt is a graduate of De Montfort University, having completed a BA in Fine Art (Sculpture) and an MA in Design and Manufacture.
He is a creative leader with over fifteen years experience in brand identity, design and business strategy.
He has experience in a variety of environments and markets, including architecture, retail and music, allowing insight into how businesses work, and understanding how good design can enhance a business and what it offers.
Sam is currently the Festival Producer for Big Difference Company, the charity behind the annual Leicester Comedy Festival. Before this he worked for the cultural development agency ArtReach where he directed Journeys Festival – a multi art form festival that celebrates the work of refugee artists.
Sam has a strong awareness of non-profit governance and currently sits on the board of Leicester City of Sanctuary, and until 2016 he was a Young Trustee for Curve theatre.
Sam first connected with Leicester Print Workshop through an open day and from this he enrolled on a 6-week printmaking course. He looks forward to helping the organisation reach new people from it’s new home in the Cultural Quarter.
Lucy graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a MA in Fine Art and continues to produce work for exhibition, commission and artist residencies both locally and internationally. She is a member of LPW and uses field recording, digital illustration, drawing and printmaking to visualise sound, through examining the acoustic ecology of the natural environment to demonstrate the value of nature and promote wildlife conservation.
She has over 14 years’ experience within the arts sector in a variety of roles, including outreach, marketing, events, project management and awarding funding for The City Gallery, The Mighty Creatives, Arts Council England, Attenborough Arts Centre and currently Nottingham Trent University.
