Becoming a member of Leicester Print Workshop means joining our friendly community. The membership fee helps to ensure that our facilities can be maintained and available for use during our open access hours.
Student & Graduate Membership
Arts & printmaking students or recent graduates (within the last 3 years) are eligible for a 20% discount on both the membership fee and hourly rate.
Prior to using the workshop, all new studio users attend an induction. This is a three hour supervised session where you can familiarise yourself with the studio and receive a health and safety briefing, at the same time our Studio Team will ensure you have the information you need to work independently. You might have plenty of printmaking experience or you might have been on a LPW course or two. Sometimes at this stage the team might suggest a little more learning or a one to one session just to top up your knowledge. There is a charge of £20 for the induction.
If you would like to join but are not wholly confident that you can work alone in the studio we recommend that you attend a course from our current programme, alternatively you are welcome to arrange bespoke one to one classes to suit your particular interest or level of study. Our Print Club sessions are designed as a stepping stone from course participation to membership.
First Edition Fridays
First Edition Fridays are a great way to meet other new members, get into the swing of regularly using the studio and start making new work. First Edition Fridays are supported by the LPW technician team and will occasionally include a technical demo. Check upcoming dates here.
