Zoe Potter is an artist, printmaker and mummy based in Leicestershire with over 10 years of experience in Arts Education. She loves to inspire and be inspired.
A graduate of The University of Central England, Zoe has a BA Hons in Fashion and Textile Design with a specialism in printed textiles for fashion and furnishings.
In 2010 she started her own business with the aim to inspire children of all ages through vibrant school holiday art workshops. She also began working with Schools in Leicestershire creating imaginative term time projects tailored to the schools creative needs.
Starting my own business has brought with it the opportunity to revisit my passion for printing and to produce a personal series of art work inspired by my two little girls.
My artwork combines photographic and hand drawn images screen printed on to paper. I work in to them in my studio using paint, emulsion transfer and hand stenciling techniques. I have a desire to move my printmaking forward by developing my art into repeated print designs and to create a range of beautiful, bespoke fabrics suited to small scale textile products.
During 2013, Zoe worked closely with LPW as our Textile Resident. Read more here
Family Are Key – a collection of printed textiles produced during her residency are currently on show at The Print Room, our exhibition space at LCB Depot.
