Sumiko Eadon began printmaking in 2000, starting with Japanese woodblock printing followed by wood engraving. She studied at Walsall College and then Loughborough University as a mature student, where she learnt techniques such as etching, screenprinting and plate lithography. She is now working as an artist and freelance printmaking tutor. Although she has explored moving image and video installation work, her practice in the last several years has been mainly printmaking.
