Mandy is a Sheffield based artist working in both paint and print.
She has exhibited widely, including the RA Summer Exhibition and the John Moores Painting Prize.
For the past 4 years she has been exploring Park Hill in Sheffield, a Grade II * listed housing estate and one of Britain’s largest examples of Brutalist architecture.
Park Hill is currently undergoing regeneration which makes it an interesting site to observe. She has explored this subject in paint using materials integral to the site (creating concrete canvases and working with aerosol spray paints) and also in print. In 2015, she was awarded a 2 year Fellowship in stone lithography at Leicester Print Workshop and has continued to explore the same theme in another medium. She is grateful to the Arts Council of England and also the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation for providing awards to help fund this residency.
She also has a blog recording her lithography activities.
