Lucy Stevens is an artist whose environmental soundscapes and visual art investigate the relationship between humanity and nature.
Lucy works with field recordings, digital illustration, photography, drawing and recently printmaking to reveal the fascinating behaviour of wildlife and the diversity of species, through the process of listening, observing, responding and recording. Her work ranges from creating visual compositions in response to birdsong, producing graphical montages from observing bird behaviour and to creating historical site-specific binaural audio walks based on the relationship between place and people.
After studying an MA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University, Lucy has created work for commission and exhibition at various locations including Nottingham Castle Museum & Art Gallery, Wirksworth Festival, Nottingham Trent University, The School of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester and as part of open studio events at artists residencies in Lincoln, France and Sweden.
