Gemma’s practice investigates the relationship between image and object, creating optical landscapes of mathematical shapes. Working in photography, print, sculpture and animation she references architecture, cityscapes, form and motion.
Gemma is a fine art printmaker based in Bristol and Leicester. Working largely in silkscreen she produces prints that are then transformed into modular sculptural pieces and animations. She has recently completed an MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking at the University of the West of England (2012) and studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Coventry University (2005).
‘Leicester Print Workshop is such a vibrant and thriving hub for printmaking and the staff are truly amazing. It is a joy to be a part of such a wonderful organisation and rare resource. ‘
