I became a member of Leicester Print Workshop in July 2012, having previously attended workshops in lino cut, screenprinting, monoprinting and, more recently, wood engraving. I also graduated from Loughborough University School of the Arts in July 2012 (as a mature student) with a BA (Hons) in Printed Textiles.
Inspiration is found from architectural forms, both natural and man-made. Recent work has mainly developed from what has drawn my eye when out walking in the Leicestershire countryside, often close to where I live in a small village near Melton Mowbray. Light, shadow and reflections also influence my work.
I really enjoy the time I spend at the Print Workshop; everyone is friendly, and as an artist working alone a lot of the time, the contact with other creative people is invaluable and inspiring.
