Printmakers' Blend Coffee
Leicester Print Workshop are pleased to partner with St. Martin’s Coffee Roasters on an ongoing collaboration to profile LPW Artists.
The Printmakers’ Blend was a project founded by LPW Artist Theo Miller in 2016. The project aims to raise funds for Leicester Print Workshop, and to create a platform and alternative output for artists to make new work and disseminate it to a new and different, coffee loving audience.
The Printmakers’ Blend coffee has been specially roasted by St. Martin’s. This coffee is a blend of Indian Monsoon Malabar and Brazil Yellow Bourbon (RFA Cert), suitable for all brewing methods.
Each year, in November a LPW Artist will create a new, small run, handprinted ‘label’ for The Printmaker’s Blend. Each bag of coffee is sold with it’s own original print. Each year the Printmaker’s Blend artist will help select the next featured artist, and pass on ‘the cup’.
The Printmakers’ Blend is available to purchase in caffeinated and decaf varieties, exclusively in the LPW Shop, for £7.
St. Martin’s Coffee Roasters are a young family business who set up their first speciality coffee shop in 2010. Continually developing, the roastery and coffee shop have become a community hub in Leicester, where people meet, exchange ideas and learn. Today the roastery sends sweet smelling packages to coffee shops all over the UK, trains and educates baristas, teaches school kids the value of positive trading relationships, and installs sparkling new espresso machines around the country as new stories begin. St Martins are committed to providing opportunities for artists working in the region. We have been a fan of St. Martin’s from day one and are delighted to be working with them.
The Printmakers Blend Artist for 2016 was Theo Miller. The Printmakers Blend Artist for 2017 is Hatty Buchanan.
