Liza Lee
I have been a member of the Leicester Print workshop since 2007 and in 2008 I became a trustee.
The workshop facilities are quite unique to the region and the level of expertise and opportunity available makes it a very important fine art resource and a significant print provider nationally and internationally.
The spiral, coil and floating cell image reoccur in my work.
I have been developing themes relating to those microscopic elements of cells and DNA that define our identity.
I have exhibited in the 7th British International Mini Print show that toured the UK in 2009 to 2010 and have just completed a commission for Pizza Express in Market Harborough.
Most of the prints are made using Collagraph, carborundum with a la poupee and Chine Colle.
