Bruno Cavellec
Originally a painter, Bruno came to printmaking after having seen “L’Estampe en Bretagne”, an exhibition of the school of Pont-Aven formed around Gauguin. Stimulated by this experience, he took a course at the Leicester Printworkshop where he was immediately drawn to the aesthetic possibilities of drypoint.
A fascination with images often inspired by a world that doesn’t exist anymore as well as an ongoing exploration of the human condition come together in his powerful yet intimate black and white prints.
