No changes to Covid Guidance for Leicester

26th May 2021

There have been reports in the news this week about additional guidance issued to residents in 8 areas of the UK, including Leicester City. Local and National Government have now confirmed there are no additional restrictions placed on these areas and that existing National guidelines apply. You can find these here.

You can read Leicester City Council’s full statement here.

The health, safety and wellbeing of our members and community is always our upmost priority. We want to reassure all visitors to LPW that we have created a really safe environment here at Leicester Print Workshop and we are confident that we can remain open to LPW Members and run our in-person course programme as planned.

We have a large, spacious and well ventilated studio, which has allowed us to adapt the building and create individual Work Stations in our Studio and Education Space. We have introduced many measures to keep all Studio users safe. These include:

• limiting visitor numbers
• requiring all visitors to record their visit via the Test & Trace app
• all visitors to wear face coverings and sanitise hands on arrival
• all visitors to maintain 2m social distancing throughout the building
• no shared use of equipment
• adapting the studio to protect visitors and staff
• increased cleaning and sanitisation areas

All course participants and visitors to our building are advised to read our Risk Assessment in advance of their visit, and to please stay at home if they feel unwell and have any of the symptoms of Covid, or someone in their household is self isolating.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Leicester Print Workshop, and to supporting your printmaking to continue and develop in the safe environment of our Studio.
