We were thrilled to bring 3 LPW Artists to join Geeta on her show last night, which aired from 8pm – 9pm.

From L – R, Joel Hague, Peter Rapp and Emma Fitzpatrick, (pictured between our Communications and Admin Officer Katharine and host Geeta Pendse) talked about their experiences of taking part in the first Leicester Print Fair last year, as well as their creative inspirations and the printmaking processes they use to make their work.

All three artists talked about what they learnt and enjoyed about sharing and discussing their work with other participating artists and visitors, meeting buyers and seeing their work off to new homes.

Emma brought in some of her etchings and talked a little about her journey into printmaking, which started, somewhat unusually with Lithography. Joel talked about graduating from the BA Design Crafts course last Summer and his experience of joining LPW to continue making his work, which combines CMYK screenprinting, cyanotype and poetry and takes the form of original prints and zines. Peter talked about the meditative nature of making his incredibly detailed works using linocut and etching, his journey from pen and ink drawings to etchings, and learning to embrace the unexpected and to embrace play and chance when making prints.
