Call out for Steering Group Members

10th January 2018

CVAN EM is the Contemporary Visual Arts Network for the East Midlands, established to contribute to a flourishing visual arts habitat in the region.

Leicester Print Workshop is CVAN EM’s guardian and as such is responsible for progressing its strategic responsibilities, supporting delivery of its activities, managing its finances and budgets and being its champion to funders and stakeholders.

CVAN EM is now seeking new Steering Group members as it delivers the last phase of a three-year programme of activity and plans for the future. CVAN EM would especially like to hear from individuals with expertise within: the artist-led community, non-HE arts education, diversity and the Creative Case, leadership and talent development.

Through a varied programme of projects and activity, CVAN EM aims to:

• engage artists and organisations in tackling common issues resulting in new ways of working and more informed decision making

• support collaborative working across the region leading to new opportunities, new experiences and new networks

• celebrate and promote contemporary arts in the region, from making to presenting

The role of the Steering Group is to oversee, engage in and advocate for its activities. Members are recruited on the strength of their relevant expertise and their capacity to be involved, as well as their commitment to CVAN EM’s mission and aims. The Group features representatives from key regional visual arts organisations and individuals from the visual arts community.

Read more about the opportunity here, and visit the CVAN EM website here.

Deadline for applications: 2 February 2018.
