Multiply exhibition opens at The Print Room

1st February 2017

Since April 2015, two artists, Nína Óskarsdóttir (Iceland) & Mandy Payne (UK) have been working as LPW Lithography Fellows with the support of our lithographer Serena Smith. Through regular attendance at our studio, both fellows are currently learning, experimenting, and gaining substantial knowledge and technical proficiency in the medium.

With very different backgrounds, approaches and inspirations, Multiply shows the different ways that an image can be worked and developed using lithography. The exhibition is showing at The Print Room, our exhibition space at LCB Depot until 28th April. More information here.

Artist Profile Films

We are delighted that both artists are the subject of two new short films, directed and produced by local filmmaker Richard Chambers to promote the Lithography Fellowships. Both films can be watched online here.
Richard says: Having been a volunteer at Leicester Print Workshop, I have seen the great facilities and wonderful atmosphere that exists here. I really wanted to do something to help promote their work so we had a conversation with Mandy and Nína who were happy to take part!

Learn Lithography at Leicester Print Workshop

We’re running two courses in lithography in March and April. The first is a Lithography Introduction Two Day Course. This course is a great taster introduction to the basics of stone lithography, set over two consecutive Saturdays. The second is a Photoplate Lithography day course – a perfect
introduction to lithography, producing great results for both photographic and
drawn images.
