We've Reached Our Target!

16th December 2015

We have been the fortunate recipients of a huge amount of help, support and good will over the past two years.

Following a very happy series of launch events, some generous donations and a few more print sales we are happy to announce that we got there! We have raised all the money that we needed and we were able to deliver Our Big Move project within budget.

The first few weeks in our new studio have been busy – as well as introducing our artist members to the new studio and inducting them into the new space the builders have been working through their snagging list, we continue to adapt the studio and create new work surfaces and storage as we get used to the site and our final pieces of equipment are on order or being made.

We’ve had a lot of support from local press – Leicester Mercury and Pukaar News visited us at our Launch Events and nationally our new Studio made the front page of Architects Journal website.

This year has been a momentous one for LPW and 2016, our 30th Birthday year is set to be another, with our Small Print International touring exhibition, accompanying commissions and a symposium, Our Big Move resident artists creating new work to celebrate our new studio, our first week long Summer Schools and an exciting programme of printmaking on show in our new Exhibition Space.

We will close for Christmas this Thursday 17 December at 4pm and will open in 2016 (our 30th birthday year) at 10am on Tuesday 5 January. From January we are extending our opening hours and we will be open 5 days a week – Tuesdays – Saturdays, with our late night opening until 8pm continuing on Wednesdays.

If you want to know more about LPW and printmaking have a look at our course programme, learn more about joining us as an artist member and have a look at our current exhibitions taking place at LPW and at LCB Depot.

Merry Christmas from all at Leicester Print Workshop!
